This week we went to Fox Glacier for camp.
Camp was really fun and exciting. One of my favorite parts was going swimming at lake Mapourika and jumping of the jetty into the water (I only did it twice). When we finish we got changed and Sam lost his pants and spent about twenty minutes looking for them. Trent and I were talking about hibernating cows and monkeys that make banana milk.
Walking over to the glacier and seeing the glacier was really fun. The walk was so cool, but I got a stitch and a cramp at the same time. The glacier was really cold and really warm at the same time. On the way back we found a bit of ice named Chuncky. We accidentally dropped it on Miss Panthers foot. We all had turns carrying him back to camp. Sam dropped him and he broke into 4 pieces. It was sad times really sad times. But Chuncky still lives to this day in the freezer. May Chuncky live a good life in the freezer and not melt.
Seeing the glacier from a far distance was awesome, and we got a group photo. There was a sundial at the lookout point that pointed at the mount. The glacier was massive and so cool. I was so amazed. It was awesome.
Everybody in M2 was really sad about leaving the camp but you have to go sometime.
